With access to the highest-ranking education and cultural facilities in Australia and some of the greatest thought-leaders in the world, Canberra has become the destination of choice for students wanting a first-class education.

The benefits of studying in Canberra include:

Power and influence. Canberra is the thinking powerhouse of the nation. What happens in science, research, education and business here, matters to the rest of Australia.

Sought after qualifications. Canberra education qualifications are highly sought after by Australian and international employers.

A youthful outlook. The median age here is well below that of Australia in general and a substantial student population creates a vibrant energy and helps us keep ahead of the times.

An inclusive community. Around 25 per cent of our population was born overseas and every year, thousands of international students are welcomed here.

A safe environment. Canberrans are open, friendly people. We have very low crime rates compared to the rest of the world and our environmental policies ensure a clean, beautiful city.

A balanced lifestyle. We know how to have fun. There’s more happening in Canberra than ever before, from outdoor pursuits to cultural events and international exhibitions. Surrounded by natural bushland, we’re a two and half hours drive from the Snowy Mountains, a two hour drive to the pristine beaches of the South Coast and three hour drive from Sydney.
