Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve

Located to the south of Canberra, an easy 40 minute drive from the city centre, there is something for everyone at Tidbinbilla. It is home to a wide variety of wildlife including kangaroos, koalas, platypus, potoroos, wallaroos, possums, wombats, echidnas, emus, lyrebirds as well as many other birds and reptiles.  But you may have to look very closely as some of the animals are very shy.

Come along and discover nature at its finest. Sit back and marvel at the landscape, take a bushwalk in the Sanctuary wetlands or cycle along one of the many sealed roads or trails. Relax and enjoy great BBQ spots or pack a picnic with family and friends. The kids will have a blast as they explore the Discovery Playground, or meet a Ranger and join in on a guided tour to search for platypus or feed the pelicans.

An entry fee applies to vist the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve which you can purchase online with Access Canberra, or on the day at the Tidbinbilla Visitor centre. And remember to take your rubbish home.
